DESCRIPTION:Pre-Booking required.\nThis month we are holding the meeting on
  a Thursday as the Monday is a Bank Holiday.\nOne of our regular (monthly)
  speaker meetings comprising an industry update and guest CPD speaker(s). 
 Following a brief introduction\, the agenda (which includes a slightly ext
 ended CPD section) will be:\n\n\nProficiency update / industry news \nA pr
 esentation by Elmhurst on how the industry is changing\, new opportunities
  it presents\, how schemes are adapting to the challenge and how effective
  software development is enabling improved efficiency for assessors.Topics
  will include:\n·        ECO 4\n\n\n·        PAS 2035 \n\n\n·        The H
 eat and Buildings Strategy \n\n\n·        MEES \n\n\n·        The Lenders 
 Consultation \n\n\n·        Recap the EPC Action Plan \n\n\n·        Part 
 L and SAP 10 update \n\n\n·        Part O introduction\n\n\nThis is an opp
 ortunity to understand how our role is evolving and what is being done by 
 schemes to prepare and adapt to that.  It will also then be an opportunity
  for us to ask questions and feed back what we see as the strengths and we
 aknesses in what we are being shown. These types of Proficiency meetings a
 re  often an opportunity to influence future development.\n\nWe will then 
 pick up any specific AOB items tabled for the meeting or carried forward f
 rom the previous meeting.\nThis is followed by an open floor discussion an
 d networking session to close the meeting.\nThis event is FREE for Profici
 ency members. It is open to non-members at a cost of £20\nAttendance certi
 ficates will be added to the member's  CPD record. Non-members will be pro
 vided with an attendance certificate to enable them to claim the CPD time.
 \nHOW IT WORKS - Please read carefully\nYou will be sent joining instructi
 ons and/or the relevant link ahead of the meeting. This is typically sent 
 out about 1 day ahead of the event. For online events we generally use Zoo
 m.\nAround 24 hours ahead of the event you will receive a link to register
  for the event. You can do this any time from then until just before the m
 eeting starts. Once you have registered you will receive the actual meetin
 g link. Please ensure you register using your correct full name. This ensu
 res you will get the right name on your CPD certificate (if applicable)\,
 \nPlease also ensure you have tested your set up and both your audio and v
 ideo are working. If we cannot see you are present we may not be able to i
 ssue you with a CPD certificate. If you know in advance that you will not 
 have video capability\, please email events@proficiency.services and we wi
 ll agree an alternative way in which the organisers can verify you were ac
 tually present (and hopefully paying attention) for the entire session.\nI
 f you need to briefly deal with something like an urgent phone call during
  the session\, please turn your video off whilst you do so to avoid a dist
 raction to other attendees. Video off for short periods of absence will no
 t affect eligibility for CPD certificates. Prolonged periods of absence or
  where video is off so you could be absent\, will prevent us being able to
  issue a CPD certificate. This verification of your presence is essential 
 for us to ensure that the value of Proficiency CPD certificates is maintai
 ned so they can be accepted by accreditation schemes. \n(There are no refu
 nds where CPD certificates cannot be issued due to only partial attendance
