DESCRIPTION:This is a member only event. You will not see a booking option
unless you are logged in.Pre-Booking is essential. Booking facility will c
lose 24hs before the event starts.\nThis is a Workshop Session for Non-Dom
estic Energy Assessors.\nIn support of a request from the BRE\, we are hol
ding a non-domestic recommendations workshop. Proficiency members are invi
ted to contribute towards a review which will develop the recommendations
to be used in future releases of SBEM.\nThe workshop will be led by Ian St
urt\, Chairman of Proficiency who has contributed to a number of developme
nts to SBEM in the past\, including the improved range of construction typ
es added to the current SBEM version. It will be a highly interactive sess
ion where ideas and debate will be actively encouraged.\nTarget Audience\n
This will be a 2 hour session\, highly relevant to the non-domestic strand
. It is unlikely to be relevant to anyone other than non-domestic assessor
s and can only be booked by Proficiency members. There will be no cost to
Proficiency members attending and it will qualify for a 2 hour CPD certifi
 cate.\n-------------------------------------------------------------------
 ---------------------\nContent\nNon-Domestic EPC Recommendations\n\nWhich
recommendations are inappropriate and should be removed? (Why?)\nWhich rec
ommendations are appropriate but should be reworded to be more relevant? (
What should they say?)\nWhat additional recommendations should be generate
d by the software? (What should trigger them?)\nHow could the process of s
 electing recomendations be improved?\n\n----------------------------------
 ------------------------------------------------------\nLearning Outcomes
\nApart from the obvious opportunity to contribute to future improvement o
f the software we use\, and to increase the value of EPC Recommendation Re
ports to your clients....\nYou will get a better understanding of\n\nWhy t
he software currently triggers recomendations\nWhen it may be better to re
place one with something more appropriately worded\nThe sort of user defin
ed recommendations others are adding to their Recommendation Reports\n\n--
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------\nPre / Post Workshop Actions\nAttendees are encouraged to mak
e use of the related thread in the non-domestic section of the Proficiency
forum to share thoughts on the recommendations\, before and after the wor
kshop. A full list of the current  recommendations built into SBEM will be
made available on this thread ahead of the workshop so you will not need
to compile your own.\nMost of you probably have a set of additional recomm
endations you copy and paste into the user defined recommendations on a re
gular basis. Please think about which of those could be suitable to be bui
lt into SBEM as software generated or user selectable standard recommendat
 ions.\n-------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------\nThis event is open to all Proficiency members as pa
rt of your membership benefits at either Standard or Premium membership le
vel. However\, you are encouraged not to attend unless you are a practicin
g non-domestic energy assessor. It will be a very strand specific CPD and
that will be reflected in the 2 hour CPD certificate issued.\nAttendance c
ertificates will be added to the Proficiency member's CPD record.\n-------
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------\nNon members?\nTo be involved in this you will need to demonstrate
you are committed to actively contributing to improvement of our industry
sector. You will also need access to the Proficiency forum. The only way
to do both is to become a Proficiency member yourself.\nIf you are willing
to do that\, you will be more than welcome to join this session and contr
ibute your thoughts and ideas. Details of membership and the link to join
are at Membership Benefits (proficiency.services). If you already know you
want to join and which level is right for you\, head straight for the app
lication form at Apply here\nHOW IT WORKS - Please read carefully\nYou wil
l be sent joining instructions and/or the relevant link ahead of the works
hop. This is typically sent out about 1 day ahead of the event. For online
events we generally use Zoom.\nAround 24 hours ahead of the event you wil
l receive a link to register for the event. You can do this any time from
then until just before the meeting starts. Once you have registered you wi
ll receive the actual meeting link. Please ensure you register using your
correct full name. This ensures you will get the right name on your CPD ce
rtificate (if applicable)\,\nPlease also ensure you have tested your set u
p and both your audio and video are working. Due to the interactive discus
sion nature of this workshop\, it is essential that you have BOTH audio an
d VIDEO working for this session. https://proficiency.services/events/past
