DESCRIPTION:Bookings for this event will close at midnight the day before t
 he event.\nGetting to grips with DesignBuilder (for producing EPCs using S
 BEM).\nPrimarily aimed at new users or those who do not yet feel fully con
 fident in using DesignBuilder.\nPre-Booking is required.\nThis CPD session
  will be presented by Ian Sturt\, Chairman of Proficiency and experienced 
 DesignBuilder user.  The intention is to walk through the steps of inputti
 ng a fairly typical Level 3 non-domestic building from start to finish. It
  will be a live demonstration with the ability to ask questions as we go.
 \n\nContent includes\n\nCreating a new job\nImporting and changing the lib
 rary\nSetting up the defaults\nImporting plans and using construction line
 s\nBuilding the model (Blocks\, zones and envelopes)\nAdding windows and d
 oors\nConfiguring zones\nUsing the hierarchy to manage characteristics in 
 parts of the building\nRunning the calculation\nChecking for errors\nCreat
 ing the lodgement xml\n\n\n\nThe aim is to enable attendees to confidently
  process a standard non-domestic EPC in DesignBuilder. Expect this to fini
 sh around 5:30 pm but allow some flexibility if you can. \nThis event is F
 REE for Proficiency members. It is open to non-members at a cost of £25. (
 It makes more sense to join and get access to at least 12 live\, interacti
 ve CPD sessions for free in the year)\nAttendance certificates will be add
 ed to the member's  CPD record. Non-members will be provided with a PDF at
 tendance certificate. The meeting is expected to last for about an hour an
 d a half overall\, and to qualify for at least an hour of relevant CPD.\nN

 ly\nYou will be sent joining instructions and/or the relevant link ahead o
 f the meeting. This is typically sent out about 1 day ahead of the event. 
 For online events we generally use Zoom.\nAround 24 hours ahead of the eve
 nt you will receive a link to register for the event. You can do this any 
 time from then until just before the meeting starts. Once you have registe
 red you will receive the actual meeting link. Please ensure you register u
 sing your correct full name. This ensures you will get the right name on y
 our CPD certificate (if applicable)\,\n(If there is less than 24 hours to 
 go\, please check your junk / spam folder before contacting us to say you 
 haven't received the link. It will probably be there. If it is not then do
  contact events@proficiency.services but don't leave it to the last minute
 . Once we have started to set up for the session we will not be able to ta
 ke calls or respond to emails).\nPlease also ensure you have tested your s
 et up and both your audio and video are working. If we cannot see you are 
 present we may not be able to issue you with a CPD certificate. If you kno
 w in advance that you will not have video capability\, please email events
 @proficiency.services and we will agree an alternative way in which the or
 ganisers can verify you were actually present (and hopefully paying attent
 ion) for the entire session.\nIf you need to briefly deal with something l
 ike an urgent phone call during the session\, please turn your video off w
 hilst you do so to avoid a distraction to other attendees. Video off for s
 hort periods of absence will not affect eligibility for CPD certificates. 
 Prolonged periods of absence or where video is off so you could be absent\
 , will prevent us being able to issue a CPD certificate. This verification
  of your presence is essential for us to ensure that the value of Proficie
 ncy CPD certificates is maintained so they can be accepted by accreditatio
 n schemes. \n(There are no refunds where CPD certificates cannot be issued
