DESCRIPTION:This session is repeated periodically (we aim to provide it app
 roximately every 3 months). Content will vary each time as it is tailored 
 to address points sent in ahead of the session or raised on the day.\nNon-
 domestic Conventions Q&A. Repeated due to popular demand.\nAn opportunity 
 to gain a better understanding of the non-domestic conventions and how to 
 apply them.\nPre-Booking is required. Bookings for this event will close a
 t midnight the day before the event.\nThis is a CPD session specifically f
 or NDEAs\nFacilitated by Proficiency Chairman Ian Sturt\, there will be an
  opportunity to ask about any of the conventions you are not clear on.\nIa
 n has been involved with the conventions groups since early 2011 and has b
 een the primary author of\, or contributed to development of\, a significa
 nt proportion of the conventions. There are few people in the industry wit
 h a better understanding of why they are written the way they are.\nThe se
 ssion will consist of:\n\nA brief summary of the conventions process\nWhat
  the conventions group can and cannot do\nAnswers to questions that have b
 een submitted ahead of the session\nAnswers to questions from attendees at
  the session\nIf time permits\, Ian will then talk through some of the con
 ventions that assessors seem to be most prone to getting wrong.\n\nTo get 
 the most out of this session\, please think about which conventions you do
 n't really understand. Email your list of those conventions and an indicat
 ion of what you are unsure of to events@proficiency.services with 'Non-dom
 estic Conventions Q&A'  in the subject line.\nAny conventions we cannot sa
 tisfactorily explain will be identified and referred to the conventions gr
 oup for clarification. Expect this to finish around 5:30 pm but allow some
  flexibility if you can as there is a lot to gained from the open discussi
 ons and networking at the end.\nThis event is FREE for Proficiency members
 . It is open to non-members at a cost of £25. (It makes more sense to join
  and get at least 12 sessions like this for free in the year)\nAttendance 
 certificates will be added to the member's  CPD record. Non-members will b
 e provided with an attendance certificate to enable them to claim at least
  an hour of relevant CPD.\nNOT A MEMBER? Join for just £60 and get free ac

  IT WORKS - Please read carefully\nYou will be sent joining instructions a
 nd/or the relevant link ahead of the meeting. This is typically sent out a
 bout 1 day ahead of the event. For online events we generally use Zoom.\nA
 round 24 hours ahead of the event you will receive a link to register for 
 the event. You can do this any time from then until just before the meetin
 g starts. Once you have registered you will receive the actual meeting lin
 k. Please ensure you register using your correct full name. This ensures y
 ou will get the right name on your CPD certificate (if applicable)\,\n(If 
 there is less than 24 hours to go\, please check your junk / spam folder b
 efore contacting us to say you haven't received the link. It will probably
  be there. If it is not then do contact events@proficiency.services but do
 n't leave it to the last minute. Once we have started to set up for the se
 ssion we will not be able to take calls or respond to emails).\nPlease als
 o ensure you have tested your set up and both your audio and video are wor
 king. If we cannot see you are present we may not be able to issue you wit
 h a CPD certificate. If you know in advance that you will not have video c
 apability\, please email events@proficiency.services and we will agree an 
 alternative way in which the organisers can verify you were actually prese
 nt (and hopefully paying attention) for the entire session.\nIf you need t
 o briefly deal with something like an urgent phone call during the session
 \, please turn your video off whilst you do so to avoid a distraction to o
 ther attendees. Video off for short periods of absence will not affect eli
 gibility for CPD certificates. Prolonged periods of absence or where video
  is off so you could be absent\, will prevent us being able to issue a CPD
  certificate. This verification of your presence is essential for us to en
 sure that the value of Proficiency CPD certificates is maintained so they 
 can be accepted by accreditation schemes. \n(There are no refunds where CP
 D certificates cannot be issued due to only partial attendance at an event
