Once the 'Book' link disappears it means the event is fully booked and you will have to wait for the next one.\nThis is a CPD session specifically for Proficiency Members\nProficiency (formerly DCHI) has been involved with the conventions groups since early 2011 and our representatives have been the primary authors of\, or contributed to d evelopment of\, a significant proportion of the conventions. Members of ou r team have a better understanding of why they are written the way they ar e than most of the other parties involved.\nThe session will consist of:\n \nA brief summary of the conventions process\nWhat the conventions group c an and cannot do\nAn overview of the convention changes and the new conven tions added for RdSAP10 (without interruptions for questions please)\nFoll owed by a Q&A session where issues with the conventions can be raised (ple ase come prepared with succinct examples)\nIf time permits (highly unlikel y) we may be able to answer some questions on other conventions not change d in the latest release\n\nTo get the most out of this session you will ne ed to...\n\nAllow the presenters to run through the convention changes wit hout interruptions\nPost succinct questions in the chat so we can pick tho se up first in the Q&A\nBe able to provide clear (and brief) examples of a ny issues experienced applying the conventions\nHave a clear idea of what changes to the wording would improve the clarity or practicality of a conv ention\n\nMOST IMPORTANTLY - This session has 2 purposes:\n1) To be valuab le CPD for all attendees getting to grips with the new conventions\n2) To provide the domestic conventions team with constructive feedback they can take to the conventions group to ensure the next iteration of the conventi ons are as good as we can get them.\nThis is not an opportunity to moan ab out what we have\, it is an opportunity to better understand what we have and to contribute to making sure what we get next is as good as it can be. Anyone who chooses to moan rather than contribute positively will be unde rmining the value of the session for all other attendees. You will be remo ved from the session and you will not be eligible for an attendance certif icate.\nAny conventions we cannot satisfactorily explain will be identifie d and referred to the conventions group for clarification. Expect this to finish around 5:30 pm but allow some flexibility if you can as there is a lot to gained from the open discussions and networking at the end.\nThis e vent is FREE for Proficiency members. This is typically sent out about 1 day ahead of the eve nt. For online events we generally use Zoom.\nAround 24 hours ahead of the event you will receive a link to register for the event. You can do this any time from then until just before the meeting starts. Once you have reg istered you will receive the actual meeting link. Please ensure you regist er using your correct full name. This ensures you will get the right name on your CPD certificate (if applicable)\,\n(If there is less than 24 hours to go\, please check your junk / spam folder before contacting us to say you haven't received the link. It will probably be there. If it is not the n do contact events@proficiency.services but don't leave it to the last mi nute. Once we have started to set up for the session we will not be able t o take calls or respond to emails).\nPlease also ensure you have tested yo ur set up and both your audio and video are working. If we cannot see you are present we may not be able to issue you with a CPD certificate. If you know in advance that you will not have video capability\, please email ev ents@proficiency.services and we will agree an alternative way in which th e organisers can verify you were actually present (and hopefully paying at tention) for the entire session.\nIf you need to briefly deal with somethi ng like an urgent phone call during the session\, please turn your video o ff whilst you do so to avoid a distraction to other attendees. Video off f or short periods of absence will not affect eligibility for CPD certificat es. Prolonged periods of absence or where video is off so you could be abs ent\, will prevent us being able to issue a CPD certificate.
