 wool\nThe construction industry is under growing pressure to reduce carbon
  emissions while delivering high-performing\, cost-effective buildings. To
 o often\, insulation is treated as a commodity—valued only for price—rathe
 r than as a material that directly impacts building health\, energy use\, 
 and long-term performance. Insulation should work with the building\, not 
 against it\, allowing structures to regulate moisture naturally and provid
 e healthier indoor environments. This presentation explores how shifting a
 way from old habits and short-term thinking in material choice can create 
 better outcomes for both people and the planet.\nWe will touch upon:\n\nWh
 y building materials matter in carbon reduction\nThe limitations of curren
 t mainstream insulation options\nHow breathability supports building healt
 h\nThe performance and specification features of Sisalwool\nHow to integra
 te natural insulation into real projects\n\nSisalwool are producers of nat
 ural fibre insulation\, offering an alternative to conventional materials 
 with a focus on sustainability\, breathability\, and healthier buildings.
 \n \nWe will then pick up any specific AOB items tabled for the meeting or
  carried forward from the previous meeting.\nThis is followed by an open f
 loor discussion and networking session to close the meeting. Expect this t
 o finish around 5:30 pm but allow some flexibility if you can as there is 
 a lot to gained from the open discussions and networking at the end.\nThis
  event is FREE for Proficiency members. It is open to non-members at a cos
 t of £25. (It makes more sense to join and get at least 12 sessions like t
 his for free in the year)\nAttendance certificates will be added to the me
 mber's  CPD record. Non-members will be provided with an attendance certif

  meeting. This is typically sent out about 1 day ahead of the event. For o
 nline events we generally use Zoom.\nAround 24 hours ahead of the event yo
 u will receive a link to register for the event. You can do this any time 
 from then until just before the meeting starts. Once you have registered y
 ou will receive the actual meeting link. Please ensure you register using 
 your correct full name. This ensures you will get the right name on your C
 PD certificate (if applicable)\,\n(If there is less than 24 hours to go\, 
 please check your junk / spam folder before contacting us to say you haven
 't received the link. It will probably be there. If it is not then do cont
 act events@proficiency.services but don't leave it to the last minute. Onc
 e we have started to set up for the session we will not be able to take ca
 lls or respond to emails).\nPlease also ensure you have tested your set up
  and both your audio and video are working. If we cannot see you are prese
 nt we may not be able to issue you with a CPD certificate. If you know in 
 advance that you will not have video capability\, please email events@prof
 iciency.services and we will agree an alternative way in which the organis
 ers can verify you were actually present (and hopefully paying attention) 
 for the entire session.\nIf you need to briefly deal with something like a
 n urgent phone call during the session\, please turn your video off whilst
  you do so to avoid a distraction to other attendees. Video off for short 
 periods of absence will not affect eligibility for CPD certificates. Prolo
 nged periods of absence or where video is off so you could be absent\, wil
 l prevent us being able to issue a CPD certificate. This verification of y
 our presence is essential for us to ensure that the value of Proficiency C
 PD certificates is maintained so they can be accepted by accreditation sch
 emes. \n(There are no refunds where CPD certificates cannot be issued due
