Government schemes generally place far too much reliance on funding being distributed by providers finding properties to be upgraded. It is way too difficult for people in homes needing to be upgraded to access the funding, even if they are clearly eligible.

With the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) there is at least a self-referal pathway available. This is definitely progress and something Proficiency has long been calling for. 

You can check if you are eligible, and if it looks like you are you can make a request for your enenrgy supplier to start the process of checking whether you can get work done under the scheme.
