What is the true value of Proficiency?
The value of having Proficiency as a Profesional Body for energy assessors is an interesting question.
It really depends on what you see as “value”.
On the one hand, would value be how much you benefit financially from investing a pretty minimal amount in joining a membership organisation? One that would return that investment if you just attended just a couple of the short online CPDs out of the 20 - 30 hours of CPD each year it - would give you free access to?
On the other hand, would value be giving a voice to to the circa 15,000 energy assessors who without a professional body to stand up for them, just have to live with whatever government departments and accreditation schemes hand down to them?
To be honest it doesn’t really matter which you see as value, because Proficiency provides both. That is a pretty significant value proposition.
